Network monitoring software

Hi everybody.
Who can suggest me the reliable network and server monitor with
alerting feature? I was trying to search it by Google, but there are to
many similar software and I am unable to choose at once. Anybody uses
such software? Any suggestions?

Could you explain what exactly do you need? Do you need to check
servers and services availability? What exact services you want to
monitor?

Really usefull monitoring tool with simple interface, flexible alert
profiles and powerfull reporting engine. I have been monitoring over
2000 servers in several networks using HostMonitor and I am satisfied
with it.
