I keep getting different error messages! When I first turn my computer on it says "IEDLL.EXE" is not working and needs to be reinstalled or something??? Then the other day I got three more while I was online that said "USER.EXE", "EABH.DLL" and "GMT.EXE" were messed up or something! Does anybody know where these are from, where I can find them or how I can fix them???
Thanks! =?Utf-8?B?Q2hyaXN0eQ==?= |

When did you last check your system for parasites and other malware?
IEDLL.EXE Your errors are the result of having a version of the Cool Web Search hijacker (CWS.Aff.Iedll) on your PC. Neither iedll.exe or loader.exe are part of the Win Me operating system. Delete iedll.exe but be careful about loader.exe as there are some legitimate applications that include a file with this name. For more details see http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html. Download and use CWShredder, the removal tool from either: http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip or http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip to remove this unwelcome pest. EABH.DLL This is the Ezula TopText parasite. See http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/TopText.html for details including removal instructions. GMT.EXE GMT is part of Gator See http://doxdesk.com/parasite/Gator.html including removal instructions. Also http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm#Gator Download yourself a copy of the free Ad-Aware 6.0 from Lavasoft (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and also the free SpyBot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) and scan your system for and remove all unwanted parasites, adware and spyware that might be hiding on your PC. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP (E-Mail Removed) Christy <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote: > I keep getting different error messages! The only thing I've tried is deleting some of my temporary files (not sure what I need and what I don't) and running scandisk. Doing these things haven't worked. My computer runs very slow also. What do you suggest I do first?

What to do first? Well I'd start at the top of my previous message and work
my way through to the end. Until you clean your system of the three identified parasites and I dread to think how many others you also have installed (which is where AdAware and SpyBot Search & Destroy come in) your computer will continue to run very slow, if at all. Once you've done that you need to check you system regularly using not only your preferred antivirus application but also AdAware & SpyBot, making sure that in all cases you update their reference signature files before each use. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP (E-Mail Removed) Christy <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote: > The only thing I've tried is deleting some of my temporary files (not > sure what I need and what I don't) and running scandisk.
