Default cannot delete gateway

Help, i found a post about the same problem : how to delete a gateway.

In error, I connected and (apparently) set up a wireless connection using a
USB wireless adapter .....
a gatewa is made that appeasr when i enable the wirelees connection.

I cannot disable it, getting the message:
"IT is not possible to disable the connection at this time. This connection
may be using one or more protocols that do not support Plug-and-Play, or it
may have been initiated by another user or the system account"

I also cannot delete it under the Network Connections tab under the Control
Panel:
"You cannot delete a connection while it is busy connecting. Please
disconnect or close the login property page and try again"

I do not know how to close these things, or even where they are. Please
help!!!

Thanks simon
