I had Windows NT server which already was a member server on a Win 2003
AD but had a disk crash. Used Norton Ghost and managed to get everything back on to a new disk. But now the sever will not rejoin the domain. Suspect it may be a SID issue, but looking for ideas. Can ping ok over the network and have managed to add to a local domain (AD is a WAN), and can browse okay, but server refuses to join. Thanks in advance, Johnny johnny.seaton@gmail.com |

1. Delete the lingering machine account in AD.
2. Use GhostWalker (came with Ghost) to alter the SID of the machine after is was reimaged. 3. Make sure the NT machines uses the correct WINS and DNS in its network settings (WINS is very important to NT4). 4. Rejoin it to the Domain. -- Phillip Windell [MCP, MVP, CCNA] www.wandtv.com The views expressed are my own (as annoying as they are), and not those of my employer or anyone else associated with me. ----------------------------------------------------- <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:(E-Mail Removed) ups.com... >I had Windows NT server which already was a member server on a Win 2003 > > AD but had a disk crash.
