I have recently networked my WinME desktop and Win98 laptop. Sharing files
is fine, but even though I have opted to share the printer, I cannot, with few exceptions, get the printer to work with the laptop. I contacted Lexmark concerning this issue (the printer is a Z35) and followed their instructions consisting of installing the latest driver and changing the print processor spool data format to WinPrint/RAW. Sometimes I can get the printer to work when I close the document that was open on the laptop, and sometimes not. I always get a prompt stating that the laptop cannot connect w/the printer. While not a life and death issue, I am curious as to why I cannot get the printer to work nominally with my networked laptop. No help in the Help file or manual. Any input much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ron http://webpages.charter.net/clickfam/Mondo.htm Ron |
