Hi,
I'm having a few problems. I have a home network where two computers connect to a domain through wireless connections. The desktop that i use (custom built) does not have any problems connecting to the domain. However, after what appears to be a random amount of time, the computer "sort-of" locks up. What happens is the network drives become disconnected. When i try and open up "My Computer" or something anything that points to a mapped drive (ie..a shortcut), explorer locks up. Killing the task works, but if i try the action again, the problem occurs again. I am having a similar problem with a laptop. It periodically disconnects from the shared drives, but if i simply single click on the connection through my computer, the connection is restored. Is there anyway to prevent the computers from disconnecting? I also have a problem with the network connection status. It will only display as Acquiring Network Address in the taskbar even after it has actually connected. I have to open up the network connection folder and refresh. The icon will then display as connected. This is more an annoyance than anything else. Thanks in advance wolverinegod |

You might check the autodisconnect settings - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314498/ > > I also have a problem with the network connection status. Are you using Windows to manage the wireless connection, or third party software? |
