I just installed 2003 server as a standalone machine and configured DHCP on
it. The clients cannot receive an address from (or ping) the server. If I set a static address on the client I can ping from the server to the client but am still unable to ping from the client to the server. Also, if I set static addresses on all the clients I can ping from each client to all the others but, again, not to the server. I've disabled the firewall on the server and got a small hub with just the server and one client connected to it with the same results. Any ideas why I cannot make connections to the server? I'm using 192.168.16.x addresses with a 255.255.255.0 subnet mask. cpal |

Open the server LAN connection status. Is the receiving zero or lower #? If yes, I would check the NIC on the server first or upgrade the NIC driver..

It is receiving some, but it's less than 1/2 of what it's sending out. It's
a brand new server with on-board nic's, so I'll check the drivers. Thanks. "Robert L [MVP - Networking]" wrote: > Open the server LAN connection status. Is the receiving zero or lower #?
