Default BeThere enabled exchanges

Ive been looking to move ISPs since last December. My current ISP
(Freedom 2 Surf) were fine, until their new PIPEX owners starting
cocking things up.

I was looking to move to BeThere. When I checked in January, my
Exchange (Orpington) was down to be enabled in March, so it looked
like I could soon sign up.

But.... When that date comes round, it just keeps being put back by
another couple of months. This has happened contiually and its now
showing November. I telephoned and was told they didnt have a definate
date, but would not be taking orders before November.

They said they had no definate news on the exchange and for me that
signifies yet another redating on its way.

Am I just pissing in the wind with BeThere? And are there any ADSL2+
alternatives available?

Using the ADSLguide forums, I came across this, which is a bit more
useful:
