I think it's indicated even with a single subnet - if you want to retain the ability to browse, but don't want nasty browser election wars & associated network chit-chat going on between machines. I tend to install & use it, and disable the computer browser service on all clients via GPO. |

WINS can still provide some useful stuff, for a starters it's nice to have a
