Default Intermittent Loss of Connectivity

1. every saturday around 4am the NIC gets disabled. System state backup has
been scheduled @ 3am. the server is IBM xseries 255 with Broadcom xtreme NIC

2. HP Proliant with Broadcom xtreme NIC loses and regains the connectivity
automatically. the n/w outage will b for around 10min.

Does anyone have any idea regarding above problem? Please help.
