Gurus,
I know Windows well but an EMC guy off-site asked me what the wwn names were of the HBA adapters in my server. I do know we use EMC hardware, but do not know how to determine the wwn name. -- Spin Spin |

You should have an application called Navisphere that would tell you or you
can logon to your fibre switch and find out that way. You might even be able to get it from the BIOS of the HBA too. EMC also provides utilities like Microsoft MPS reports that should be able to pull that information as well. Hope this helps CT "Spin" wrote: > Gurus, > > I know Windows well but an EMC guy off-site asked me what the wwn names were > of the HBA adapters in my server. Look at your configured hosts, I believe you can go to the properties of them
and they will show you the HBAs in that host. Here is a link that might help as well. http://www.dell.com/downloads/global...ide%20names%22 "Spin" wrote: > I have Navisphere where do I click in there to find out? > > -- > Spin > > "Charles Tolento" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in > message news:2CC815E5-2847-41B4-9DA3-(E-Mail Removed)... > > You should have an application called Navisphere that would tell you or > > you > > can logon to your fibre switch and find out that way. You can find the HBA wwn on your windows host :
1) For Emulex HBA's : launch an application called HBAnyware 2) For Qlogic HBA's : launch an application Qlogic SanSurfer rgds, _Edwin.
