As far as i know windows server 2003 allows only 2 simultaneous connections at one time so my question is change i buy a operating system windows server 2003 and then buy the licenses for multiple users/computers ? Hi,
Windows Server comes with 2 connections which purpose is for remote administration. If you need more then these two connections then you have to go to Add/Remove Programs > Windows Components and here install Terminal Server and probably Terminal Server Licensing (depending on your environemnt). Now you have 90 days to buy (you get 90 days of working TS for all your users...) all appropriate licenses for your terminal server -- depending on how many users you intend to connect. -- Mike Microsoft MVP - Windows Security "milan" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:44922F47-3E5F-44A6-8535-(E-Mail Removed)... > hi , > > i dont know if this question applies to this group if it does not , please > tell me which group i should be asking this question in > > here is my current situation : > > currently i have a (X) computer in newyork and (Y) computer in bombay > .... > > i am accessing my (Y) computer which runs windows XP from X computer using > RDC ( REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION ) > > here is my question > > 1. i want multiple users/computers to access this (Y) computer > 2. i want to change the operating system from windows xp to windows server > 2003 > 3.
