Default Computer Browser Error

I have a small network with Server 2003 and XP Pro machines. On all but one
workstate, I can start and run the Computer Browser service with no problems.
On one workstation, when I start the service it starts and immediately stops.
There is no error message in the event log. What might be the cause of this
problem. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. Both are running properly so I do not think that
this is the problem. Do you have any other areas in which I can look?

Have you checked the event viewer to see if there are
any related errors. You could manually prevent the
computer browser service from starting by editing a
registry setting called MaintainServerList but you
should see an error in the system log of the event
viewer.

Make sure not security software blocks ports for file sharing. This search result may help,
