Default TCP/IP not bound to Linksys wiresless PCMCIA network card

Trying to install a Linksys PCMCIA Wireless B card in my
laptop running WinME. I install the software and
everything completes but I can't get to get the TCP/IP
bound to that network device. Tried reinstalling the
software and manually adding TCP/IP but did not work.
I also tried the Linksys USB wireless NIC and same problem.

HELP!

TIA,
Kurt

What indicates to you that TCP/IP didn't bind to the network card?

If there's only one network adapter, the list of components will look
something like this. The binding between the protocol and the adapter
is implied, but not shown:

Client for Microsoft Networks
Network Card
TCP/IP
File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks

If there's more than one network adapter, each binding is shown
explicitly, something like this:

Client for Microsoft Networks
Dial-Up Adapter
Network Adapter
TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter
TCP/IP -> Network Card
File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks

To see for sure whether TCP/IP is bound to the network card, go to
Start | Run | Winipcfg. It should show a TCP/IP configuration for the
network card.

Default Re: TCP/IP not bound to Linksys wiresless PCMCIA network card

There are 2 netork cards, a PCMCIA and the USB Linksys
that I am trying to get to work, TCP/IP is listed for the
PCMCIA (3COM) and the dialup adapter but not to the
Linksys USB. I try to add tcp/ip manually but it fails to
add. (Just goes back to add protocol after choosing the
tcp/ip.
Tried disabling dialup and the 3com adapter and
reinstalling the linksys software but no luck.

Thanks,
Kurt
