Default Group policy error

I have a single Win2003 server with AD an get errors when running the "Group
Policy Modeling Wizard" in the Group Policy Management Tool. When I select
"none" for the site everything is fine but when I select site =
"default-server..." I get the error "Group Policy Infrastructure failed due
to the error listed below: unknown error". I have already checked DNS and
other settings using netdiag and dcdiag.

Thanks for any help.
Holger

You may want to use gpotool.exe to troubleshoot.

gpotool says "policies ok".

I did some more testing with the "Group Policy Result Wizard" and got errors in "Computer Configuration" and "User Configuration" using the Administrator account, but no errors in "User Configuration" using a different account. So I followed a hint in another forum and deleted the Administrator profile in "documents and setting". After that there are no more "User Configuration" errors, but I still have the "Computer Configuration" error and none of the GPO settings are assigned.

Any idea?
