Default ME & XP Networking

I have a PC running XP that has a dial up to the internet.

We have a pier to pier network with XP operating system.

I can see files on the PC running XP, I can print.

However I cannot get online with the PC running XP. Only
the PC running ME directly connected to the internet can
get online.

This network was setup before I worked here and was
working. Now it is not.

Any suggestions

Thanks - Denny

If the ME computer has the Internet connection:

1. Enable Internet Connection Sharing on ME as shown here:

ICS Installation [WinMe]
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/...smeinstall.htm

2. Configure XP as an Internet Connection Sharing client as shown
here:

XP ICS - Client Setup Using the Network Setup Wizard

If it's possible, I strongly recommend using XP as the Internet
sharing computer instead of ME. XP's version of ICS is much more
reliable than ME's version.

To share XP's Internet connection:

1. Enable Internet Connection Sharing on XP as shown here:

XP ICS - Server Setup Using the Network Setup Wizard
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/.../serverwiz.htm

2. Configure ME as an Internet Connection Sharing client as shown
here:

XP ICS - Client Setup Using the Network Setup Wizard
