Default combining 10mbit and 100mbit

Hi group,
I have been currently using an Allnet wireless router with an integrated 4
port 10mbit/100mbit switch.

There is no manual speed switch, but the LED light colour changes depending
on the speed.

All of the four ports work brilliantly, but as soon as I have connected some
100mbit clients, I am not able to access the slower 10mbit clients any more.

And vice versa.

It is that a regular behaviour?

Isn't it possible to combine them?

Thanks to share your experience with me

Michel

This is not regular behaviour. I don't know whether all ports should switch
to 10mbit when one client is connected at that speed, but preventing the
10mbit clients access is definitely not standard behaviour.

If you don't need the 100mbit for your clients, you might want to configure
all other clients to use maximum speed of 10mbit, this might force the
entire network to switch to 10mbit, allowing the 10mbit-only clients to work
as well. But this is not an optimal solution because you can't use the
100mbit capabilities.....

cheers
