networking ME and XP

Default networking ME and XP



My desktop runs ME and my notebook XP. Both have Network
cards. I want to network the two so I can transfer
files. I want to do it as economically as possible so an
Ethernet or USB cable connection is desired. Thanks for
your help.

Since both computers have network cards, the only additional hardware
that you need is a crossover Ethernet cable to connect them. A
regular Ethernet cable won't work for a computer-to-computer
connection.

Run XP's Network Setup Wizard on both computers to make all the
settings for networking and file sharing:
