Default D-Link Wireless Network Troubles

I installed a D-Link Router (DI-514) on a new computer
and everything worked fine. Then, I went to install the
USB 2.4GHz Wireless Adapter (DWL-122) on an older machine
running Window ME and ran into trouble. The older
machine has the appropriate system requirements. I
installed the drivers off the disk, but get the error
message "Explorer has caused and error in <unknown>..."
which totally screws everything up. I had to restore the
system to a previous time period.

Any suggestions?...

Thanks!

I have a very similar problem. I'm trying to connect my
Laptop (XP) to my desktop (ME). I used the networking
wizard on my laptop and it told me to use the XP
installation CD on my desktop. Since I did that I've been
getting that same "Explorer has caused and error in
<unkown>..." error. I attempted a reinstallation of ME
and still have the problem. Any suggestions would be most
welcome.
