I have a Windows XP machine and a Windows Me networked on
a LAN (Ethernet; both are plugged into a router (Cablemodem router). On the XP machine I get great internet aceess speed (3Mbs!), but on the Windows ME machine only a lousy 500Kbs. I played around with all the ports on the 4-port router - with no success. Even if the XP machine is not connected, the Windows ME still has the same slow access speed. So it seems like the problem is with the Windows ME machine. Can you please respond to the above email address with suggestions. thanks a bunch! tom tom |

Carey wrote: >www.careyholzman.com/netfixes.htm I am trying to following the steps on the above page. When I get to the following step: "15) When you re-boot, you should be able to double-click My Network Places, then double-click Entire Network and click VIEW THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THIS FOLDER (on the left side of the window). The window only has one pane, with a single entry "Workgroup". I've tried the various settings for "View" -> "Explorer Bar", but can't seem to find one that gives me a "VIEW THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THIS FOLDER" in the left side of the window. Any suggestions?
