Has dhcpcmd been superceeded by netsh dhcp, or are these command line
tools used for different tasks? I want to script the creation of scopes & the creation of reservations (with their associated hardware addresses) on a Windows 2003 Server SP1. Is there a differnet tool (M/soft or free) / better way of doing this work?? chortler@fetchmail.co.uk |

dhcpcmd has been around longer than netsh (I think since the NT 4.0 Resource
Kit, even), but either one will do what you're trying to do. If I had to state a preference, it would be for netsh since dhcpcmd requires you to install the Support Tools to use it, while netsh is a native tool. HTH -- -- Laura E.
