Default Unable to view the output on screen when executing commands in telnet

hello all,

I telnet to a windows server 2003 m/c from a freebsd m/c.

When i execute the command vi filename, i get a blank screen with just
the cursor on it. When i press Ctrl+C i exit it and the prompt back.

What should i do to visualise the execution of the command.

(I have installed the mks toolkit so as to enable the working of linux
commands at windows command prompt.)

Do help me out

Praveen.

With Win2003, try:
set localecho

This way all typed commands and responses will echo back to your screen,
unless there's a fiewall blocking response traffic.
