We're using a Netgear FVS124G router and also use DHCP feature of this
device. The FVS124G provides its onw IP address as DNS server. However, we need to have the IP address of the Windows 2000 machine provided as the DNS server since this hold the private addresses of our network (this DNS server then forwards the external requests to the router). How can I do this? There is no possibility to enter the Windows machine IP as data provided to the clients via DHCP. Thanks - Reinhard Reinhard F. Bentrup |

If you can't configure the Netgear to do this, you will need to turn off
DHCP on the Netgear and run DNS on the Windows server instead. Reinhard F. Bentrup wrote: > We're using a Netgear FVS124G router and also use DHCP feature of this > device.
