Hi, I need to export the dhcp mdb from a domain controller that is failing , but i'm confuse because I read the article - id: 130642 (How to move a DHCP database from one server to another in Windows NT 4.0 and in Windows 2000) and I readed too the article about Dhcpexim Toll to migrate scopes ! The question is what does is the most trust and reliable method to move the dhcp databse from one server to other Thanks any comments !! Misaro |

I find the following article better than the one you cite.
How to move a DHCP database from a computer that is running Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003 to a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325473/en-us Be aware that the example talks about dhcp.txt in one section and dhcpdatabase.txt in the next. If you follow the article through, it's quite easy and has always worked well for me.
