Hello,
I have been trying to move NT4 workstations from domain A to domain B, using the Netdom utility (version 1.8). I get the following result : Searching PDC for domain “domain B. Found PDC \\nameofpdc Connecting to \\nameofpdc with user account domain B\username ... Querying domain information on PDC \\nameofpdc Querying domain information on computer \\nameofworkstation Computer \\nameofworkstation is currently a member of domain A. Verifying if computer account exists on \\nameofpdc The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials. Close all current connections to \\nameofpdc and re-run NETDOM. I have already found some articles on this matter, but none of them really helped. No I changed my script a bit : I first add the workstation to a workgroup – reboot – add them to domain B-reboot. Of course if someone would have an idea about how to solve the issue, this would be more than welcome. Thanks. philip_t |

It usually means the computer already has a connection to the
domain that it is trying to join. Net use * /delete usually worked but I vaguely remember another resolution if that doesn't do it for you.
