Hi,
I'm trying to administrate a Small Business Server. Every time I log on I see the message: License usage for the product Windows Server is nearing the maximum number of per server licenses purchased. Consult Licensing from the Administrative Tools folder for more information. What I see in the Licensing program is the following: Installed Licenses: 25 Maximum usage: 35 License Codes | Number of Licenses | Expiry Date --------------------------------------------------------------------------- XXXX 20 5/5/2005 Am I in trouble? What should I do? Thanks, Cyp. Cyphos |

From your first post you state you are in per server mode.
Since the license logging service does not work as expected I would turn it off and keep track of your licenses manually. You state you have 26 computers, you would need 26 CALs. The license logging service does not work as expected. The only affect of turning it off would be the error messages would stop. Stopping the license logging service will not "break" anything. It is an after thought addin put there solely to "help" the administrator. But it doesn't work. Stop and disable the license logging service on your servers and keep track of your licenses manually. If ever audited, and the license logging service is found to be off you are assumed to be in "per seat" mode. This means you need one license for each *computer* accessing the domain. hth DDS W 2k MVP MCSE "Cyphos" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:(E-Mail Removed) oups.com... >> How many user do you actually have? > > Users?
