Default can see server in browser, but can't connect

Hi,
I feel like I'm just missing something... Some of my client XP machines can
browse via the network neighborhood to the W2K3 server I have just fine (they
are challeneged for passwords, I tell them to check the box to remember the
password, and they are happy until their password changes). Others just get:
No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because
there are already as many connections as the computer can accept.
Now, this system is a Terminal Server, with 10 licenses (which we never use
all of), but I can see that 9 licenses have been issued (some are marked as
expiring soon, others not - can I just delete these?). ALL users, though, can
hard-map drives to the shares on this system. It *feels* like there's just a
number of browser connections limit that I can't find... anyone got any
advice?

thx

do you have workgroup network? The 10 user connection limit has been reached. check this page for the details.

This is a licensed terminal server with 10 CALs. It looks like there are 9 TS
licenses dished out: how do I get rid of one for a machine that no longer
exists? But I'm not talking about a remote desktop connection or even a
mapping: I'm talking about someone going to the network neighborhood and just
trying to browse to a share. I can't believe that there's a 10 machine (ever,
not even at one time) max limit to be able to browse to a share on a server -
and that there's no way to change that? C'mon, really?

Help!
