Connecting with other comps...

I play games with some friends through a lan connection.
Most times, it will allow us to play for awhile, but
eventually it will disconnect us with a problem saying
that it lost "sync" with my comp. Another problem that
it has is that once in a while, it will just kick me out
of the game all together with out any explanation. Any
help that anyone can provide would be much appreciated.
