I'm having problem with my internet connection. I have Windows ME on my computer. I used to be able to connect to the internet, but one day it just stopped working. I don't have TCP/IP >Dial Up adapter listed when I right click on Network Neighborhood and select properties. I do have "TCP/IP > nothing" entry. When I try to add TCP/IP >Dial Up adapter, it shows up, but after restarting my computer, it disappears and instead I have an entry that says -- TCP/IP > nothing. I've re-added TCP/IP >Dial Up adapter multiple times, but every time it disappeared. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks. |

If there's only one network adapter, it doesn't show the binding: Dial-Up Adapter TCP/IP If there's more than one network adapter, it shows each binding: Dial-Up Adapter Ethernet Adapter TCP/IP->Dial-Up Adapter TCP/IP->Ethernet Adapter If you don't have an Ethernet adapter, connecting through dial-up should work. If it doesn't, try un-installing and re-installing Dial-Up Networking. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
