Using Offline files with Windows ME

I am trying to use synchronize to keep my files from work
and home in sync through a network server and a VPN. I
have no trouble setting it up at work (with XP). But on
ME at home I have a synchronize tab on my tools menus, but
can't find an equivalent of the "Make Available Offline"
function to get access to the files on the server. One of
the notes in XP help says that the offline files function
is compatible with 98, ME, and 2000 as well as XP, but
does anyone know how to get it started?
