Home Network trouble

I intented to configure a home network with Windows ME,
but for some reason, sometimes i can see the machines in
my workgroup but i can't reach it, even with the ping
command have a promedium of 75% - 100% loss packages.
I can't figure out what is the problem, somebody can help
me, please?

If you're losing that many packets in a ping test you have some sort of
physical problem on the network. Bad cables, bad hub, bad network card ...

Is your whole system running ME? The reason I ask is that I had similar
issues on my ME/XP network. Turned out that running multiple protocols
(TCP/IP and NETBeui) was causing system problems similar to yours. Solution
was to use only one protocol.
