I am unable to get a WinMe system to network with my existing win NT4 & Win2000 systems. the units was working fine with Win98 and then was upgraded to WinME. The system was then upgrade via Windows Update to be current. The NT/2K systems can be pinged fine. As well the ME box can access the Internet via the router they are all connected to. I have verified the VnetBIOS.vxd file is there and the registery is as recommended. I have also checked typical things like workgroup names, etc. My ME laptop hooks up to teh network fine so I know it can be made to work. Any specific suggestions would be appreciated. I have searched a number of sites and not found anything that will help. |

An often occurring and unwanted side effect of upgrading is a setting of the dreaded autologon value which means you are not connected to your LAN but other things (like Internet access may well work okay) If this "autologon" value exists then delete it.
