Windows ME dialer disconnects network.

I have a small peer network with several os (ME,2000,XP). Everything
works fine except with one ME system when that system dials up a
connection. As soon as the dialer connects, the ME system is
disconnected from the network and remains disconnected until the dialer
disconnects. The ME system cannot see the network and no other system on
the network can see the ME system. Immediately following the dialer
shutdown, the ME system is reconnected to the network.

The network is a standard Windows network, operating over TCP/IP.

I've never seen this problem before, so I haven't a clue what could
cause it.

Anyone with any idea/suggestion?
