Default MAC Address

Other than going to the router setup pages, what is the best way to find out
the MAC address of a network card under Windows?

Start --> run --> cmd (enter)

type

C:\> ipconfig /all

and you'll get a list of the cards and various information, eg here is a
snippet of my network card:

Ethernet adapter Intel GigEth Onboard:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : computing.firedrake.local
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Intel(R) PRO/1000 CT Network
Connection
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-0D-61-27-7B-9E
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

You can see the MAC address noted as "Physical Address"

Besides the IPCONFIG.EXE utility, if NetBIOS is loaded then...

nbtstat - A IP_ADDRESS_OF_NIC

{ note: use; -a for the PC's 'hostname' or -A for the IP address }
