Default Unable to connect machines on Home Network

I am using Win Xp Pro Sp2 on two of machines. They both are connected to a
broadband connection via a wireless router.

To be able to access one machine from the other, I ran Windows Network Wizard on
both machines and setup a "Shared" Folder to be accessed by everyone on each
machine, one of the machines is named Xyz. Now when I try to access Xyz machine
from the other and I try to add a Network place with the address "\\xyz\Shared"
I get the error :

"Xyz not accessible, you may not have the access rights...
The use is not granted requested logon type on this machine"

Interestingly, in the past I had the machines configured properly, then I did
fresh OS installation on both and now I do not even remember, how to make it
work again.

Kindly help, as to how to proceed from here.

Tia

Check you can ping the other computer so that the physical connection is
proven.

Make sure that the person logged into computer A has a logon with
appropriate rights on Computer B.

Somewhere in W2000 there is a setting that says, allow disk and printer
sharing, this needs to be ON. I assume the setting is in WinXP as well.

Then right click on the disk icon-properties-security and set the disk as
shared.

That should do it.

Are you running Zone Alarm? You have to config it if you are.
