Out of interest....latency

Taking ISP, routing etc into consideration - which adsl modem/router manages
latency the most efficiently....?

I've just had to replace my draytek vigour 2600g router because the ports
were blown after a lightening storm. I replaced it with a netgear but can
see the latency is around 5ms higher than the draytek.....
