Firmware upgrade - netgear!!!

Hi all,

I've tried to upgrade the firmware with my new netgear DG834G (rev 2) adsl
router through the suggested method - uploading from control screen. It
goes through the motions but does not actually seem to upgrade as the
firmware version displayed remains the same. It says if this method does
not work try a different method but does not go on to give details - Has
anyone got an idea on how to complete this task?
