direct cable connection...

yes, i have a laptop connected to my main computer using a
direct cable connection and all works and connects but
then i am asked for a name password and domain... what do
i put in here or how do i set up my main computer{host) so
i can make a password ect... so i can gain access to it
through my laptop{guest computer...please...anyone know
where i can find info on this plwease email
