Default Linux software bridge question

I use a software bridge to connect different segments of a lan together.

ppp0 is my dsl link, br0 is my lan

The server is doing nat, this, that..

Can anyone tell me what would happen if I added ppp0 to the bridge?

Would it work? Does the bridge allow interfaces like ppp0 to be bridged?

Secondly, how badly would I screw my ISP around by adding more IP's on
their range? Would that work? I suppose I wouldnt have connectivity...

Why would I do this? I wouldnt, just wondering...
