Default PPTP VPN tunnel from Linux PC to Windows network??

I would like to connect my new Mandrake 10 laptop to the company LAN
through a PPTP VPN tunnel. Is this possible?
If so how do I go about it?
The company LAN uses a Windows 2000 server as the VPN server and it has
a PPTP connector through which I am able to connect from my XP-Pro PC
into the network.
On XP it was a breeze to create the VPN connection, but how do I do
this on Linux.
Obviously I am a newbie (installed Mandrake only a couple of days ago).
Now I want to be able to reach the CVS server on the internal network,
so I must get through the VPN tunnel...

Grateful for any hints on how to do this.
(For the time being I am connecting my docking station NIC instead of
the non-working 3C589C PCCARD I have been asking about recently...)
/Bo B

I believe there's a Linux pptp client available.

http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/

Yeah,
I found this after some Googling, but I got into a version fix:
On the main download page
(http://www.city-fan.org/ftp/contrib/drivers/pptp/)
there are files available for kernels from 2.6.5 and up and on the
'OLD' page there are files for kernels up to 2.4.22.
Of course Mandrake 10.0 does not use any of these, I managed to find
that its kernel is 2.6.3, and the install of the earliest file on the
download page therefore fails....
Sigh.

Is there no pptp support included with Mandrake? There certainly is with
SuSE. It comes with both client and server.

I'd love to know how I can find out if this is already existing!
Can you tell me how I can check this?
Please if possible supply full command instruction (if command line is
to be used).
I am a newbie with Linux, only installed first time last week...
Thanks,
Bo
