perl script to send sms via serial

Hi guys,

Ive been searching all over the place trying to find a perl script that
does not need any compilation and that can send sms's via the serial
line. So far I have come across a few but none of them work for me. Of
these the most promising is GSM::SMS perl module which needs to be
compiled and I cannot install a compiler on this system. I guess I
could compile it on another system and move it over but it is not work
the hassle so if anyone has something simple please point me in the
right direction. The modem on the other end of the serial cable is a
nokia.
