VPN vs Dial up

I have a small business, with 8 computers peer-to-peer. I
would like to be able to "dial-in" to our network from my
home. However, a dial up connection over the modem seems
extremely slow (20 min to launch a program). We have DSL
at work, reg modem at home. Would I be better to set up a
VPN over the internet, and if so can you direct me to any
resourse on how to do this. If not, what can I do to
speed things up. I tried PC anywhere, which works ?OK?,
but ties up a computer at the office. Thank you for any
