Default ECI adsl packets under Red hat 9

Hi all,

I have got a modem Nortek 2021 and I have subscribed for an adsl
service with Tiscali (protocol PPPoA, encapsulation VC(null)/VC-MIX).

I have a red hat 9 with kernel 2.4.20-8.

I use the packets from eciadsl.flashtux.org for this specific modem
but when I try to connect it doesn't work and this is the log:

setting up USB support (1/5)..

loading firmware (2/5)..

ECI load 1: failed
ECI load 1: success
firmware loaded successfully

setting up modem (3/5)..

ERROR reading interrupts
ECI load 2: success
synchronization successful

connecting modem (4/5)..

Couldn't get channel number: Input/output error
using channel 2
ioctl(PPPIOCGFLAGS): Inappropriate ioctl for device
failed to connect

Is there anybody who can help me?

Thank you

Omar
