Default How do you get ndiswrapper or Linux to "see" the Linksys wireless card?

I have Mandrake 10.0 and the Linksys WMPG54G PCI card.

I installed ndiswrapper and then typed:

ndiswrapper -i {path}/linksys/bcmwl5.inf

ndiswrapper -l reports:

- Can't use string (**) as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at
/usr/sbin/ndiswrapper
line 324, <L52> line 1

So I typed ndiswrapper -e bcmwl5, rebooted to XP, downloaded the
bcmwl5.inf driver from Broadcom, and then typed:

ndiswrapper -i {path}/broadcom/bcmwl5.inf

ndiswrapper -l reports:

Installed ndis drivers:
bcmwl5.inf

But the word "present" is not there. I know the card is present and
works because it works in XP.

{I also tried the broadcom bcmwl5a.inf driver as someone suggested,
but I get a similar error as with the Linksys-supplied driver.}

I need to get past this step before I can do the rest of the setup.
What am I missing?

Thanks.
