Hi,
I'm trying to get Network Neighbourhood to show on desktop. I've removed and added Microsoft for Network, File and Print Sharing. TCP/IP and netbeui have been removed and re-added. Communications has been removed and added and still I can't get Network Neighbourhood to show! Can someone help! Anything else I should look into? Thanks Fernand Charlebois House Of Commons (E-Mail Removed) Fernand Charlebois |

On the Desktop tab, put a check mark in the Network Neighborhood box, click Apply and OK. If this doesn't work, go to Control Panel | Network. Remove Client for Microsoft Networks if it's present. Then add Client for Microsoft Networks. That should make Network Neighborhood re-appear. If that doesn't work, there could be a system policy hiding Network Neighborhood. Run the registry editor, open this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer and delete the value named "NoNetHood". -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups. Thanks,
Removing Client for MS Networks worked. However, this was the third time that I had removed it and then re-installed it. Don't know why it would do that. Anyway, all is fine now. Thanks for the pointer.
