Hi!
I'm using RH7.0 on server with kernel 2.4.18-3 .Aslo using 2 network adapters. Server has two IP addresses. Each time TCP packets being receved, they output on the screen(console). Messages are like this : IN=eth0 OUT= MAC= I'd like to retransmit this output in log files or entirely delete them. How should I do this? Thank you! Michael |

If not, please do; otherwise all messages (informative or not) will be echoed to your console. If you have a system logger daemon running, check it's configuration (f.i. /etc/syslog.conf or /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf) to see what kind of messages are sent to the console; perhaps the iptables logging facility is sent to /dev/console in which case you should remove that line (or change to a certain file). Wkr, Sven Vermeulen -- Bent Hindrup Andersen, Danish MEP, about the Software Patent Directive: The approach of the Commission and Council in this directive is shocking. They are making full use of all the possibilities of evading democracy that the current Community Law provides. <http://lwn.net/Articles/84009/> |
