When I try to reconfigure my MAC address with
ifconfig eth0 hw ether [MAC] up I get an error telling me that the device or service is busy. I migrated over to Mandrake 9.2 from Redhat and never had this problem. Can anyone help me resolve it? I'm trying to connect to a university LAN and I have to change my MAC address, as the card came from the factory straight zeros. Brian Troutwine |

Then do it when it is not in use! Take it down first. Remove the driver module (to make sure nobody is using it!). Reload the driver. Set mac. Peter |
