Default Setting up apache help

Hello,

This is my setup: I have 2 computers, 1 running windows XP and the
other running Red Hat Linux. The computer running XP is the one
connected to the internet and the one that recieves the dynamic IP
address. The two of them are networked together and share the
internet connection. When I type the ip address of the XP box into
the address bar, nothing happens. But when i type the local ip
address of the linux box into the address bar, everything works fine.
Can anyone tell me how to get this working? Thanks in advanced.

Assuming you're running Apache on the Linux machine that's as it should
be. If you want to be visible to the outside you'll have to fight with
ICS on the XP machine. IIRC I read something about NAT for Win2k, so it
should be possible for XP. Sorry I can't help, but I'm not sure if ICS
will allow you to serve from behind the Gateway.

Does the XP box have a web server running to respond to your request?
Not really sure what you want from the Linux group, as it appears to
me that your question is "My Microsoft Windows XP Box doesn't work"!

Taking a guess from the subject line, you may want to look here:

http://www.tldp.org

But then the documents available directly from the Apache foundation
are very good anyway!
