Default What is Browse Master & LM Announce?

I'm trying to setup some W98 desktop systems with a W2003
Server. In the 'File and Printer sharing for Microsoft
Networks' Advanced options it asks for Browse Master & LM
Announce Values.

What is Browse Master & LM Announce and what do the values
signify?

The Browse Master is a computer that keeps track of the computers and
shared resources on the network. It provides the lists that appear in
Network Neighborhood and My Network Places on all of the computers.
Your W2003 Server should automatically be the Browse Master for the
network, and there should be no need to make any setting on the W98
desktop systems. The possible settings are:

Enabled - This computer wants to be the Browse Master

Automatic - This computer can become the Browse Master if
no other computer wants to be

Disabled - This computer can't be the Browse Master

LM Announce determines whether the computer announces its presence on
the network to other computers running LAN Manager software. LAN
Manager is an obsolete networking system that hasn't been used in
Windows in over 10 years. Disable LM Announce.
