Default network password

I recently reinstalled my win 98. It is now asking me at
startup for my network password. I don't have one. I
tried going to a page that helps with the network
passwords and did everything but when I tried to have my
newtork password that same as my win password, an error
message came up, it says, domain controller for this
domain can't be found. I have no clue what that means and
without being able to figure this out I can't fix the
problem. Please help.

Default RE: network password

Hi,

Try the following options

1. Go to Start, Settings Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Network applet.
3. Go to the Configuration tab, select Windows Logon as the Primary Network
Logon, then close the dialog box.
4. Delete any file in the \Windows folder with the extension .pwl.
5. Reboot.

The password prompt will appear one last time. Press Enter (don't press
Escape) and it should not ask for password again.

I am happy to help you. Do let me know your progress on this issue.
